“As a first-time author, I had no idea what I was doing or the severity of the mountain that lay before me.

Ameesha walked me step by step through the developmental edit, which allowed me to write a vastly superior manuscript. She had to sift through a wasteland that was my original manuscript. She did it with a smile and the patience of a saint.

I was then introduced to my editor, Shelby. Shelby is simply amazing. There were times she drove me crazy, and I am sure I drove her crazy too. However, she challenged me just enough for me to take my head out of my backside and leave my ego at the door, but encouraged me when I doubted myself.

I was then handed over to Niall who added the polish to the end product. He guided me on the look, format, feel and the front cover of the book. I was being quite demanding at this stage because I was exhausted with the process. However, he showed an unbelieve stoic deminer, and a desire to make the look and feel of the book as good as it could be.

The entire team, including those in the background did an amazing job. They stuck by a novice spud chancer who had no clue what he was doing. They could’ve taken a much easier project, but they rolled their sleeves up and took a chance on me.

If you want a team that will jump into the trenches with you, you would be hard pressed to find a team better than The Book Shelf.”
