Thank you for your interest in publishing with Book Shelf Press. We are passionate about supporting emerging and established authors who share our commitment to life-changing, high-quality, and meaningful books. Here, you will find our submissions guidelines and submissions form. 

If you’re unsure whether we’re the right press for you, feel free to book a consultation call first (please note, this call is not to determine whether we will accept your submission, as we will need to see your submission first).

Submission Guidelines

We are currently accepting submissions for nonfiction, creative nonfiction, and business memoirs. We do not accept fiction, poetry, screenplays, or academic work. If your book falls outside these categories but you believe it aligns with our ethos, then please add your rationale in your submission.

We will consider manuscripts that have used AI, but all manuscripts that have used AI will be line edited to ensure they sound like seamless, native, and human writing. If you have an idea for a manuscript and would like us to ghostwrite it, we will consider your submission on the strength of the idea.

Please upload one sample chapter in Word or PDF format. Please do not upload the full manuscript. Please use 12-point font and include your name and the title of your book in the attachment. Please ensure that the attachment is clearly labelled (e.g., Surname_Title.docx). If you would like the book to be ghostwritten, please send us an outline of the concept so we can assess this.

By submitting a proposal to us, you declare that you are the author and rights holder of the manuscript, the work is original and has not been published elsewhere (unless disclosed), and that I understand submission does not guarantee publication.
